Individuality of sk.e-demokratia In quarantine

sk.e-demokratia after its registration as a political party will comply with all statutory (formal) criteria of a political party. From the content point of view it is though fundamentally distinct from other political parties, of which there are now in Slovakia over a hundred.

sk.e-demokratia is a political party whose aim is to return state power from the hands of political parties into the hands of the public.

Common political party sk.e-demokratia

Various aspects of its activities are kept secret.

Is consistently open. Public has access to any and all information apart from some personal data of the website users.

Its policies are focused on those segments of society from which its constituency originates.

Its civility program unites the whole society since principles of civility have followers in every social and political strata.

Is built from top to bottom with the aim of accomplishing a mission of the leader, but sometimes just to satisfy his personal ambitions and ambitions of his entourage.

Is built from bottom to top; does not have any leader (chairperson, vice-chairs or a variety of committees). Even a registered user who is not a member of the party nor Slovak citizen  can raise a topic on the party’s platform or discuss and comment on the party’s draft resolutions.

The weight of an individual’s opinion becomes greater the higher their rank within in the party’s hierarchy. This applies to any policy area.

The weight of a member’s opinion is directly related  to the merit other member’s accord it.  The merit of any individual opinion will vary according to the policy area concerned.

Has high operating costs, especially fixed ones and obligations to sponsors.

Has low operating costs, accountability to the public only, hence free and oriented on solutions

Membership applications as well as assessments of party members and officials are processed by internal officials.

A membership application is considered only in terms of legal requirements (met or not). Members activities are assessed solely by peers.

Is primarily concerned with own survival and uses power as means to it. Power thus becomes self-serving.

Has no significant problems to survive. Therefore can focus itself on elaboration of useful solutions.

Whether or not a member can get ahead with their careers in politics is highly dependent on their backing by party officials or support of a sponsor.

A member’s success in politics only depends on their abilities and competences and on how these are viewed by other members (direct democracy).

Has a hierarchical structure of party bodies built on the principle of representative democracy (often botched).

Has a flat organizational structure. Voting of a group of party members is the party’s only decision making body. Voting of all party members is the highest one.
